In March, 2000, Desert Lake Technologies, (DLT), a leading harvester and
worldwide distributor of zooplankton to the aquaculture industry, acquired
Rossha Enterprises and their Klamath Lake Algae (KLA) brand. In conjunction
with the company's harvesting, processing and marketing of Aphanizomenon
flos-aquae (AFA), DLT also offers an AFA enriched Daphnia
from Upper Klamath Lake for the rapidly expanding aquaculture industry.
Daphnia, a freshwater copepod, is a highly nutritious ingredient for feeding
the larval stages and growout diets of shrimp and fish, and a perfect
diet for aquarium fish.
